MATHEMATICS AND CODING OF A DOC

Robot Doc teaches and entertains. The students worked in five-person teams. Each team received a Doc robot and tokens with numbers and butterflies. Tokens with numbers from 0 - 9 students were placed in any way on a square mat. From the edge of the mat, in each field chosen by him, each student placed a token with a butterfly. This chip marked the place where the robot started. The students were supposed to write a road code to be traveled to the number indicated by the teacher, eg the smallest even number or the sum of the numbers 3 and 2, then to encode the robot.

Creating collections on bar charts

The students separated collections and subsets. Our class is a collection of children. In our class, different subsets can be distinguished, e.g. a subset of girls, a subset of boys, a subset of high children and a collection of low children. The students also created other subsets. The condition for the classification were places where we spent holidays, or the months in which we celebrate birthdays. The number of these subsets was compared by means of bar graphs.
